What this application is

BCE Comics Pod Uploader is a private, single-user tool used by the owners of the BCE Comics Pod YouTube channel to publish our own episodes and clips to that same channel. It is not distributed, not offered to the public, has no sign-up, and has no users other than the channel owner.

What the application accesses

When the channel owner signs in with Google, the application requests these scopes, and uses them only against that signed-in owner's own YouTube channel:

• youtube.upload — to upload our own episode and clip files and set their thumbnails.
• youtube.force-ssl — to attach the caption tracks we generate for our own videos and to add those videos to our own playlists.
• youtube.readonly — to read our own upload list and our own public view counts, so our internal tracking page knows which episodes are already published.

What is stored, and where

• An OAuth refresh token, stored as a file on the channel owner's own computer. It is not stored on any server, and there is no server.
• Video titles, descriptions, tags, caption files and thumbnail images that we wrote and produced ourselves, held locally as part of our ordinary production workflow.

What we do not collect

We do not collect, store, process or infer any information about viewers of our channel, or about any Google account other than the channel owner's own. The application contains no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no advertising, no database and no server component.

Sharing and disclosure

No data is sold, shared, transferred or disclosed to any third party. The only network destinations the application contacts are Google's own API endpoints.

YouTube API Services

This application uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's Privacy Policy describes how Google handles data.

Revoking access

The channel owner can revoke this application's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the local token file also stops the application immediately.

Retention and deletion

The only piece of personal data the application holds is the local OAuth token described above. It is deleted by deleting that file; no copy exists anywhere else. Any other request relating to data can be sent to bcecomicspod@gmail.com.

Children

The application is not directed at children and is not usable by anyone other than the channel owner.
